Instructor Trainer: Monica Plewes – founder of Pilates Kollektive & Author of the Core Pilates Method
Study the history of Pilates and the principles behind the method and learn optimal alignment and movement sequencing of the fundamental classical and contemporary exercise repertoire on the mat and reformer. Understand how to modify for the most common injuries and special conditions and how to use props such as jump boards, Foam Rollers, Core Ball and Magic/Fitness Circle.
Emphasis is placed on learning the “why, how, when & when-not” of each exercise, to help you build successful and inclusive programs and sequences for clients of all ages and abilities. Upon successful completion you will be ready to teach both classical and contemporary beginner and open-level classes on the mat and reformer.
